HOPE IS SERVING

VOLUNTEER AT HOPENET

In order to help those we serve, HopeNet relies on compassionate volunteers who can be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Every act of service extends the mission of HopeNet to bring healing and stability to those struggling with life’s challenges.

When you volunteer, you become part of something bigger. You walk alongside individuals and families who are fighting to rebuild hope, stability, and purpose. Your presence reminds them that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Several volunteer options are available, offering opportunities to use your unique gifts and talents to make a tangible difference. Your time and compassion create ripples of hope that transform lives across Wichita.

When you volunteer, you become part of something bigger.

Long-term support is crucial for Getting Ahead graduates to build resources and transition to stability. Volunteering as an Empowerment Navigator means you play an important role, walking side-by-side with a Getting Ahead graduate as they move toward stability.

Navigators do not drive the vehicle for a Getting Ahead graduate, instead, they let them be the driver and guide them to identify resources along the way that remove barriers and build stability.

Do you desire a safe and practical way to come alongside people in our community who want to break free from generational poverty? Every fall, HopeNet hosts Getting Ahead, a 16-week class designed for individuals experiencing poverty, helping them develop a plan for a more stable and prosperous life.

Each week volunteers are needed to help provide dinner and/or childcare for the class participants.

The Friends of HopeNet are Christian women who enjoy fellowship, like to build community and have a heart for people who are hurting. The goal of the group is simple…to advocate for and advance the purpose of HopeNet in various ways:

  • Host gatherings to introduce more people to the work of HopeNet
  • Care for staff
  • Volunteer at special events
  • Much more…
