Kim earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (English) and later completed a Master’s degree in School Counseling, building a strong foundation for a long and meaningful career supporting individuals through education and counseling.
For over three decades, she worked with people across a wide range of ages, backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. This work nurtured a deep appreciation for each person’s unique story and reinforced her belief that growth and healing are deeply personal journeys. Kim approaches her work with compassion, and respect for the ways life experiences—including faith and values—shape who we are.
Knowing she wanted to continue walking alongside others in deeper, more intentional ways, Kim completed additional graduate coursework to meet licensure requirements and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She began her counseling practicum at HopeNet in January 2022 and officially joined the HopeNet team as a therapist in October 2022.
Kim is committed to ongoing professional and personal growth. Her clinical trainings include Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) Level 1, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, and EMDR and EMDR Advanced training. She has also completed supervisor training and currently supervises graduate interns, valuing the opportunity to encourage, guide, and support developing clinicians as they serve others.
Kim earned her Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credential in October 2025. She wants future clients to know that she deeply honors the courage it takes to share one’s story and believes each person is worthy of care, dignity, and hope. Kim sees the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and sacred space—one built on trust, empathy, and grace—where clients can feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen as they pursue healing, restoration, and growth.
