Destiny is a Texas native who came to Kansas on a track scholarship in 2012. She loves tending to her plants, spending time outdoors, and feeling the sunshine on her skin. Her favorite food is Indian cuisine!
Destiny is a Certified Play Therapist at HopeNet with a deep passion for children and creating safe spaces where their stories can be seen, heard, and honored. Through play therapy, she helps children communicate emotions they may not yet have the words for, process difficult experiences, build resilience, and move toward healing in developmentally appropriate ways.
One of the things Destiny loves most about HopeNet is that well-trained professional counselors are accessible to people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. “We serve Wichita — all of Wichita — through Christ-centered and trauma-informed approaches. God truly is close to the brokenhearted, and we have the honor of being conduits of His heart.”
Counseling has also personally shown Destiny that she does not have to carry the burden of strength alone. She can invite counselors to hear her story, and they have handled it with such care, grace, and the love of Jesus.
