As a proud Wichita native, Janie has always felt a deep connection to her hometown and the people who make it special. Growing up, she watched the work of HopeNet from a distance, inspired by the way it brought hope and healing to those in need. That early admiration planted a seed that would eventually guide her professional journey.
After graduating from the University of Tulsa in 2024 with a degree in Business Management, Janie returned home to Wichita, eager to begin her career and give back to the community that shaped her. She spent a year working at Cargill, gaining valuable experience and insight into the business world. Yet, even in that role, she felt a persistent tug toward something more purpose-driven and connected to the Wichita community that she loves.
That calling led her to HopeNet, where she now serves with passion and purpose as the Staying Ahead Coordinator. As part of the Bridges ICT team, Janie is committed to walking alongside individuals experiencing instability, helping them navigate challenges and connect with the resources they need to thrive. She believes deeply in the power of community and is honored to be part of an organization that brings hope, dignity, and practical support to those who need it most.
For Janie, this work is more than a job—it’s a way to invest in the city she loves and to be part of something bigger than herself
